Auto Sales: Brand New or Used?

When it comes to auto sales, there are basically 2 key factors that can affect our choice prior to buying a car of our own: new or used? Both options have their own pros and cons; and the basis of our decision will largely depend on a couple of things.

Deciding if we should get a brand new car or a used one can tremendously aid us in locating the appropriate auto sales company that can give us a good deal for our purchase. Having a particular make and type in mind also plays a huge part in our argument between choosing a brand new car or a used one.

SELECTING A CAR

Firstly, the one huge factor that can assist us determine what car to buy is the brand of the car itself. There are makers that have been known to last a long time and still run in excellent condition; with very small repairs needed or little to no incidents of breakdowns at all.

BRAND NEW VS. USED

If, for example, we are getting a brand that has this kind of sound reputation; should we buy a new model or opt for an older, used model? Basically, brand new cars depreciate in value over a span of three years at the very least. This means that if we want to resell, we will naturally get far less than what we paid for it.

This being said, we could consider getting a used one of a similar brand but perhaps not of the same type. Same model used cars versus a new one of a similar make don’t really have that much difference when it comes to price.

Second to be considered are the freebies that are typically included with brand new cars. We will soon discover that auto sales with new cars have better incentives such as zero percent interest rate on financing schemes; longer warranties for parts and services; and a few other free items that we can use for the car.

On the other hand, a few used car auto sales have their own incentives as well and financing schemes.

The bottom line here are which one can we afford; which one will fit our lifestyle best and which one will give us with the best value for money?
